ABOUT JULIA DAVIDSON
BIOGRAPHY
Completing a Fine Art degree at Sheffield in the 1980’s Julia lived and worked in London, employed in publishing and also at Christies Auctioneers before travelling to Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. On return to the UK she pursued a career in Education, continuing her creative interests and completing an MA in Image and Time Based Media at Leeds Becket University in 2012.
Recently retired from 'the day job', Julia is pursuing her interests as a painter and has rekindled her love of film and photography.

Working from a studio in Hull has provided the opportunity to be part of an artistic community, benefitting from the creative association provided by the Feral Art School's supported studios scheme.
Her work focusses on experimentation with mixed media, predominantly oils and acrylics, creating intuiatve abstracts that are inspired by her surroundings in the dales and coastal areas of North and East Yorkshire.

She is currently building a collection of work to exhibit and is pleased to have sold to some private collectors.
